William (Bill) M. Hudson, 89

On Monday, Match 14th, 2022, William (Bill) M. Hudson of Orange Park, passed away at the age of 89.

Bill was preceded in death by his loving wife Margie W. Hudson and his parents Morton A. and Dorothy I Hudson.

Bill was born on October 30th, 1932 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Morton A. and Dorothy I. Hudson.He was raised in Toledo, Ohio. After high school, he enlisted in the US Marine Corps. Before leaving the Marines, he married the love of his life Margie A Webb of Albany, GA. He was married to her for 58 years. He then went to work for WT Grants until 1965. He then became an agent for State Farm Insurance for 38 years, until he retired 22 years ago.  Bill was an active man in his community. He was an Eagle Scout and later served on the Eagle Scout Review Board for many years. He was a Masonic Mason for over 67 years as a member of Orange Park Lodge #267. He was a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason. He was a Shriner for 64 years and a member of Morocco Shrine. Bill was a member of the Sultans and served a term as their president. He was also the first president of the Florida Shrine Motor Corps. He was an active member of the Arab Patrol for 40 years and served as their Capitan twice. He was also an active member of the Rotary for 50 years.

He is survived by one brother Richard A. (Lue) Hudson. His children, William Mark (Donna Jo) Hudson, II, Jay L. (Freda) Hudson, and Janet (Neville) Hudson. His 5 five grandchildren, Ashley (Tim) Hudson Burris, Austin (Laine) Hudson, Ryan Hudson, Taylor Scarito, Collin Hudson. His 3 great grandchildren Ava, Mitchell & Grey.

The viewing will be Monday, March 21st, 2022, from 5-7pm at St Giles Presbyterian Church. Funeral Services will be Tuesday, March 22, 2022, at 11:00am at St. Giles Presbyterian Church, 116 Foxridge Rd, Orange Park, Florida. Burial will follow at the Jacksonville Memorial Gardens with Masonic and Military Rites. Reception will be held at Morocco Shrine Center located at 560 Wells Road, Orange Park, Florida immediately after the service.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes for donations to be made to the Shriners Hospital for Children.
