Terrance Harold “Terry” Simmons, 86, of Fleming Island, FL, passed away Wednesday, March 17, 2021.  Terry was born in Brunswick County, North Carolina to the late Jason V. and Dora C. Simmons.  Mr. Simmons moved for the first time to Florida in 1968 while serving in the US Navy and retired following a 20 year career.  After the Navy, he continued working with Lockheed Martin retiring after 14 years.  Terry was honored his 40 year pin from the Orange Park Masonic Lodge No. 267, enjoyed gardening, beekeeping, and the outdoors.

Mr. Simmons was preceded by his wife of 48 years, Muriel Simmons in 2011 and was the last of his nine siblings.  He is survived by his sons, Doug (Rickie) Simmons, John (Rhonda) Simmons, and David (Shawn) Simmons, six grandchildren,  Shelby, Kyle, Megan, Emily, Matthew, and Jason, two great grandchildren, Raegan and Finn and one expected great grandchild.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, March 22, 2021 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Pastor David Tarkington officiating.
