Shawn Brian Deese, 45

Shawn Brian Deese, 45 passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 12, 2024, with his loving wife by his side. He was born in Orange Park, Florida to parents James and Rebecca Gilliam Deese. Shawn and his wife, of 25 years, Heather, have lived in Clay County for the majority of their life together, this is where they started their family, having two of their three children, Chelsie (23) Taylore (22). Early in their life together they moved to Oklahoma where they added to their family with their third child Trenton (12).  Shawn worked for Gas @ Supply for 6 years and served as a full-time Pastor, before returning to north Florida after 12 years.

Shawn was an avid outdoorsman. He loved being outdoors hunting, fishing, Golfing, traveling, and camping with the family but above all, his life was defined by the abounding love he had for his family. He was a strong example of courage and strength, which was clearly seen throughout the last years of his life.

He is survived by his loving wife Heather Young Deese; parents, James Deese Jr. and Rebecca Gilliam Deese; daughter, Chelsie Deese; sons, Taylore Deese (Melanie) and Trenton Deese; and brother Jeffrey Deese.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on January 25, 2025, at Lake Area Bible Church (7085 SE County Rd 214, Melrose, FL 32666). Followed by a reception provided by the church with more information to follow.
