SCPO Mark Peter Swider, US Navy (Ret.), 60

SCPO Mark Peter Swider, US Navy, (Ret.), 60 of Orange Park, passed away Sunday, December 9, 2018 at his residence. Mr. Swider was born in Salem, Indiana to the late Dale Edward and Donna June Swider. He grew up in Salem and Seymour, Indiana and joined the US Navy in 1977. He retired after 20 years of service and moved to the Jacksonville area in 2002. Mark was a well traveled sailor and was a proud father.

Mr. Swider is survived by his wife, Lois Swider, daughters, Gail (William) Huggins and Kristina (Derrick) Fletcher, two brothers, Brett (Buffy) Swider and Dale (Kim Swider, II, two sisters Kimberly (Darren) Judge and Delona (Bernard) Hampton, and five grandchildren, Alyssa, Carter, Liam, Amaya and Makayla.

Memorial Services will be held 9:30 AM Friday, December 14, 2018 in Jacksonville National Cemetery with Military Honors. A service will follow at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home.
