Saundra Powell Franklin, 78

Saundra Powell Franklin, 78 of Orange Park, FL passed away Monday, November 21, 2016. Mrs. Franklin was a native of Findlay, Ohio and moved to Clay County in 1975 from Louisville, Kentucky.  Over the years, Mrs. Franklin worked at Ellison’s Bakery in Orange Park, Orange Park Kindergarten, Belair Florist and retired from Walmart where she was a clerk in the fabric department for over 15 years.

Mrs. Franklin was preceded in death by her parents, Wilbur and Harriett Powell, her stepmother who raised her following the death of her mother, Mary C. Powell and is survived by her husband of 36 years, Luther “Frank” Franklin, children, Craig (Vicky) Topping of Live Oak, FL, Cheryl Young of Morningside, MD, Emmitt (Heather) Topping of Atoka, TN, Billy Topping of Dublin, GA, Mike Topping of Maryland, Jeff (Ann) Topping of Middleburg, FL, Wanda (Jerry) Miles, of Keystone Heights, FL and Larry (Gina) Franklin of Middleburg, FL, brother, Dick (Jan) Powell of Findlay, OH, two sisters, Sharon (Bill) Dietsch of Michigan and Nancy (Steve) Mellott of Bloomdale, OH, 26 grandchildren and over 24 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three brothers, David Powell, Toby Flemming and Bob Flemming and a sister, Nellie Woodruff.

Memorial Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, December 3, 2016 in Russell Baptist Church, Green Cove Springs, FL with Pastor Craig Topping officiating.
