Sally Jean Ostrom Rife, 77

Sally Jean Ostrom Rife, 77, of Palatka, FL passed away February 7, 2021.  Sally was born in Hurley, Virginia and moved to Palatka, FL in 1978 from Laurens, South Carolina.  Sally enjoyed reading and amassed quite the collection of books.  She was also very crafty and spent a lot of time crocheting.  Sally was a social butterfly and was a member of the Moose Lodge, Elk’s Lodge, and the Women’s Bowling League in Palatka.  She was also a member of St. John’s Baptist Church.  Living on the river and enjoying those views was one of Sally’s favorite things.

Sally was preceded in death by her parents, Roscoe Justus and Ora Belle Belcher; husband and father of her children, Leon Rife, and husband Carl Ostrom; son, Joel Rife; daughter, Sherry Rife; daughter-in-law, Karen Lewis Rife; brothers, Joe Justus and Monroe Belcher.

Mrs. Ostrom is survived by two sons, Jeffrey Rife and Anthony Rife; two daughters, Leslie Smith (Frank Woods) and Brittany Coulson; two brothers, Ted Justus and Leo Justus;  four sisters, Mona Rife, Patsy Thacker, Pearl Looney, and Darlene Cunningham; fifteen grandchildren; eighteen greatgrandchildren, and two great-greatgrandchildren.

Graveside services will be held 11:00AM Friday, February 12, 2021 at Hickory Grove Cemetery.
