Ryan was born in Altus, Oklahoma, and moved to Orange Park, Florida as a young child where he grew up. He attended Ridgeview High School where he was active in baseball and soccer and had many great friends who affectionately referred to him as “Buddah”.  Ryan worked in IT doing what he loved most – data security and establishing and maintaining network infrastructure.  Ryan was an avid sports lover and a lifelong Chelsea Football Club supporter. He also rooted for the New York Yankees and the Islanders. He loved playing video games with his brother and his friends.

Ryan found joy in playing electric guitar and learning how to play all of the songs of his favorite artists.  He loved playing games and making memories with his nephew, Rylan, and niece, Mia, as he had so much patience and love for them.  Ryan also adored his Shiba Inu, Hermes, and was an all-around animal lover.  Ryan will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Ryan is survived by his parents, Karen (Richard) Black and James (Michele) Buddenhagen, sister, Tori (Robert) Granese, brother, Nathan (Audra) Buddenhagen, grandmother Sherry Richardson, niece Mia, nephew Rylan, step-sister Kate (Ryan) McDaniel, many wonderful friends, aunts and uncles, and many cousins.  Ryan was met at the gates of heaven by his grandfather Mark Richardson, grandfather James Buddenhagen, grandfather Mario Oikonomides, and grandmother Diana Oikonomides.
