Ruth Ann Petzel, 55

Ruth Anne Petzel, 55 of Middleburg, FL passed away Monday, October 2, 2017. Ruth was born in Chicago, Illinois to the late John and Pauline Scholes.  She moved to Middleburg 30 years ago and was an active member of the Middleburg United Methodist Church where was involved in bible studies as well as many other ministries.  Writing cards to those who needed a pick-me-up, taking people to movies, and volunteering with the American Cancer Society for breast cancer events such as “Making Strides” allowed Ruth to touch many lives in a positive way.  Ruth worked with Walmart on 103rd Avenue a few years ago and was a homemaker that loved helping others.  She will be dearly missed by many.

Mrs. Petzel is survived by her husband of 38 years, Tom Petzel, brother, David Scholes, two sisters, Joan Schackmann and Diane (Charles) Hlavaty and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 5pm at the Middleburg United Methodist Church in the historic church.

    Our family has another angel watching over us. My loving, caring, sweet Aunt Ruth went with God to Heaven on 10/2. I’m so sorry she lost her battle to cancer but am comforted that she is no longer suffering. May God wrap His arms in comfort around Uncle Tom – her dedicated husband & all of our family at this time. Rest in Peace in Heaven Auntie Ruth. Love & Miss you. ✘♡✘♡✘♡
