Russell Scott “Bug” Revels, 54 of St. Augustine, FL passed away Tuesday, November 29, 2022.  Mr. Revels was born in Ben Hill County, Georgia to the late Donald Russell and Carolyn Annette Revels and was raised in Fitzgerald, Georgia before moving to Cordele.  He was a graduate of Valdosta State University and worked with the State of Georgia in DFACS for 17 years.  After moving to Jacksonville Beach, Scott worked with Avante Nursing Home and was currently employed with Palagios Senior Living in Orange Park as the Executive Director.

Over the years, Scott enjoyed boating, travelling, and working in the yard.  Going to dinner; or better yet just cooking a great meal at home, Scott was quick to take the time to be social with family and friends.  He will be dearly missed by many including his dog “Nayeli” and anyone that was lucky enough to be in his company.

Mr. Revels is survived by his husband, Larry Malloy, son, Cory (Ashley) Peacock, brother, Mike (Grace) Revels, sister, Elaine (Donald) Champion, Grandfather Stanley Biggers, grandchildren, Rachael, Audrey, Harloe, and Sophia, several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 Saturday, December 17, 2022 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choioce.
