Russell E. Brenner, Sr., 84

Russell Edward Brenner, Sr., 84, of Orange Park, FL passed away Tuesday, December 29, 2020.  He was born in Battle Creek, Michigan to the late Glen and Bernice Welch Brenner.  Mr. Brenner spent 10 years in the US Navy and lived all over the country, as well as Cuba.  He also worked for the United States Postal Service as a truck driver.  His route took him from Jacksonville, FL to Hattiesburg, MS.  Russell enjoyed spending time outdoors – fishing and walking around his neighborhood with his wife, Shirley.  He also liked woodworking and watching old Western movies.

Mr. Brenner was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jean Liles; and his daughter, Lori McRae.  He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Shirley Orton Brenner; one son, Rusty Brenner; two daughters, Jody Brenner-Burney (Ken) and Melissa Leopard (Bill); one brother, Martin Brenner (Julie); 10 grandchildren, Kalee Brenner, Drew Burney, Krischen Leopard, J.C. Hackett (Michaela), Samantha Hickman (Chris), Alex Hackett (Esteban), Amanda Bender (Bryce), Ashley St. John (Tony), Timothy Leopard and Garret Leopard (Jennifer); and 15 great-grandchildren, Hailey, Aubree, Payton, Kaili, Chris, Finn, Archer, Perceus, Myles, Ayden, Alyssa, Hudson, Sophia, Jayden, and Alexa.
