Rosalie Ann Johnson, 81

Rosalie Ann Johnson, 81, of Middleburg, Florida passed away at Baptist Medical Center on November 22, 2023. Rosalie was born on August 6, 1942 in Jersey City, NJ to the late Sam and Elizabeth Zaccone. Rosalie was preceded in death by her husband, Peter, her brothers Luis Zaccone and Sam Zaccone, and her sister Marie Scafuri. She is survived by her brother, Patrick Zaccone, her children, Lisa Johns (Ben) and Joel Johnson (Lauren) and her grandsons, Peter Johnson, Anthony Johnson and Christopher Johns.

Rosalie was known to her family as “Aunt Ro” but to everyone else she was “Lee”; a nickname given by her boss at the Bank of New York where she met her future husband, Peter. Lee loved cooking, entertaining and shopping. She had the gift of hospitality and held several jobs in the restaurant industry over her career. Lee and Peter, achieved their dream when they opened a restaurant in Ocala, Florida, Tea With Lee. It was here that Lee made some of her closest friends and best memories.

Lee loved the Lord and lived to serve Him and others. She was a loving wife, mother, aunt, sister and friend who made a lasting impact on all those she met. Her presence on earth will be greatly missed but we know Heaven is rejoicing!

Lee will be laid to rest at Jacksonville National Cemetery 2:30 PM Thursday, November 30, 2023.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, December 1, 2023 at 11:30 am at Grand View Church. Located at 12401 SW HWY 484, Dunnellon, FL 34432.
