Ronald Wayne “Skip” Allan, 73
Captain Ronald Wayne “Skip” Allan, of Toledo Ohio and Saint Augustine, FL a former Army Company Commander in the 1st Battalion, 14 Infantry, 4th infantry division (serving in the Vietnam War) passed away October 27, 2016. He was born in Napoleon, Ohio to the late Wayne Donald and Betty Jean Allan. “Skip” received the Nations third highest award for valor the Silver Star; he also has been honored with the Bronze Star, a Purple Heart, the Presidential Air Metal, The Army Commendation metal & Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross. He played football and graduated from Norwalk High School in Ohio and later graduated from the University of Toledo with a Bachelor of Business and was a Sigma Alpha Epsilon. After his service he began working first with Owens Corning, BASF, Johns Manville before retiring as President of Midwest Acoust-A-Fiber Inc. Golfing and going on cruises were a couple things that brought joy to Skip’s life, but quiet time with his wife, Martine, was his favorite.
Mr. Allan is survived by his wife Martine Ledin Allan, brother, Don Allan & Pam Rybak, brother-in-law, Michel & Astrid Ledin, nieces, Stephanie & JB Wissman, Courtney & Geoffrey Heiple, Caroline & Pieter van Heijst and family, Winny Ledin, and was preceded in death by nephew Marc Ledin. He was loved by many!
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 5, 2016 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home with Pastor Billy Mills officiating.

La cérémonie religieuse suivie de l’incinération sera célébrée le samedi 5 novembre, 2016 à 11 heures par le Pasteur Billy Mills en la chapelle du Russell Haven of Rest Funeral home.
