Robert Franklin Bell, Jr., 70

We are heartbroken to announce the sudden passing of an amazing man, Robert F Bell, Jr. (70) Robert was born and raised in Jacksonville, Florida to the late parents of Robert Sr. and Ouida Bell. At the age of 21 he married the love of his life, Marie. The two of them celebrated 49 years on September 28. Robert loved his wife and kids fiercely. All would describe him as a hard-working and selfless man. Robert had a heart of gold, and was quick to speak his mind. You could count on him to tell you the truth, whether you wanted to hear it or not.

Robert retired from CSX railroad after 39 years and has enjoyed every moment of his retirement. After a lifetime of fishing, he joined an incredible bowling community and spent multiple days a week with his best of friends. Robert truly loved his bowling community and his neighbors. If he wasn’t at the bowling alley, you could find him working in his or someone’s yard, sitting in his garage enjoying a cold one or kicked back in his recliner, “not sleeping.” He would not want any of us to be sad and would tell us all to, “suck it up.”

Robert leaves behind his wife, Marie, son James and his fiancé Danielle, son, Bobby, daughter, Tonya and her husband, John, grandchildren, Jacob, Zane, Tatum, Taj, Talia, brother, Greg and his wife Sherry, and many friends and family.  Robert left this earth and joined his heavenly father on October 14, 2022.

Arrangements are under the care of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery, Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2335 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, FL  32043.  Family and friends may share their condolences at: www.RHRFH.com 904-284-7720

He will be waiting for us all in heaven. This isn’t goodbye only see you later. “Yes, we are of good courage, and we would rather be away from the body and at home with the Lord.”
