Robert “Alan” Darden, 58 of Middleburg, FL passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2022.  Alan was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Robert Eugene and Margie Ripley Darden.  He grew up in the Jacksonville area, graduated from Andrew Jackson High School and moved to Middleburg in 1986.  After 34 years, with the City of Jacksonville, Alan retired but continued to work as a mechanic and was currently employed with Mersino.  He enjoyed racing cars with his son, Matt, following NASCAR, fishing and Blue Grass music.  Alan will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Darden is survived by his wife, Tracy Darden, son, Matthew (Rachel) Darden, sister, Susan (Jeff) Mattox, and mother-in-law, Claudia Blatt.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 20, 2022 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Pastor David Tarkington officiating.  Burial will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.  Visitation with the family will begin at 10:00 AM prior to services on Wednesday.
