Peter Anthony Johnson, 93

Peter Anthony Johnson, age 93, of Ocala, Florida passed away at St. Vincent’s Hospital surrounded by his family on February 14, 2022. Peter was born on Christmas Day in 1928 in Bayonne, New Jersey to the late William and Barbara Johnson. Peter was preceded in death by his 6 brothers and 1 sister. He is survived by the love of his life and wife of 47 years, Lee Johnson; children, Lisa Johns (Ben) and Joel Johnson (Lauren); and his grandsons, Peter Johnson, Anthony Johnson and Christopher Johns.

Peter was very proud of his time as the director of the Goodhue youth program on Staten Island, NY, he loved working with the children and had many special memories from that time. His time at the Bank of New York was highlighted by meeting Lee and falling in love. Peter and Lee were the proud owners of Tea with Lee in Ocala, Florida for over 25 years.

Peter was a true family man who put Jesus and others first.

A Memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 19. 2022 at 12:00PM at GrandView Church located at 12401 SW HWY 484, Dunnellon, FL 34432.

He will be laid to rest at Jacksonville National Cemetery on Monday, February 21, 2022 at 11:00AM
