Nancy Lasselle Grimm, 85
Nancy Lasselle Grimm, age 85, passed away peacefully on March 30, 2023, due to complications from Alzheimer’s Disease. She died surrounded by her immediate family and is survived by her beloved husband of 66 years, Peter William Grimm. Peter and Nancy resided most of their life in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where they raised their four children. Nancy was not only a devoted mother to their children but a gracious granny to their nine grandchildren. She also took great delight in being a great grandmother to six great grandchildren. Additionally, she was a superb cook and seamstress who enjoyed designing clothes and customizing her home. Later, she used her talents as an interior designer and real estate agent. In her spare time, Nancy learned to sail and to fly, becoming a licensed pilot, in order to enjoy time with Peter in his endeavors. Nancy’s cherished pastime was her daily walk through their neighborhood enjoying the people and parks. Dear to Nancy’s heart was spending summers at the family home, Grey Rocks, in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin, which was built by Peter’s grandparents in 1927 and where the family developed special life-long family friends. She enjoyed hosting family and friends each summer as well as antiquing throughout Door County. She was fondly known by the neighborhood’s children as the “cookie lady” for baking countless cookies to contribute to their 4 th of July bike parade.
Nancy is preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Ruth Lasselle and her brother, Peter Adrian Lasselle, and is survived by husband of 66 years, Peter William Grimm, her children Peter William Grimm, Jr, Karyn Grimm Herndon (Eric), Leslie Ann Grimm (Michael Shelton), and Laurence Scott Grimm (Courtney), her grandchildren Peter III (Alex), Julia, Bailey, Carl (Janna), Stuart (Jamie), William, Hannah, Sarah, and Emma, her great-grandchildren Peter IV, Thorson, Everett, Cassidy, Brooks and Sheridan, and her niece Erica Lasselle McElhaney (Ken).
Nancy will be laid to rest at Blossomberg Cemetery, Peninsula State Park in Fish Creek, Wisconsin and her life will be celebrated by family and friends this summer in Egg Harbor, Wisconsin.
The family wishes to thank Vitas Hospice of Jacksonville, FL and the amazing staff that were so wonderful in caring for Nancy and her family during her final days.
