Nancy Ann Crider, 64 of Green Cove Springs, Fl passed away Tuesday, October 24, 2023.  Nancy was born in Pennsylvania to the late John and Katherine Gilmore and moved to Jacksonville during her high school years where she graduated from Sandalwood High.  Over the years Nancy has worked as a paramedic and a Basic Life Support, CPR and Emergency Medical Technician instructor working with St. Vincents Hospital, Cecil Field Military Treatment Facility and the University of North Florida until leaving the Healthcare field to take on the full-time role of a mother to four children.

In 1983, Nancy married the love of her life Philip who shared her love of travel.  Travelling throughout the United States was always an adventure as they camped from coast to coast with four small children for 5-6 weeks a year.  In 1987, Nancy and Phil found their forever home as they settled down into Lake Asbury.  As she grew older, Nancy took up RVing and got to experience the more glamorous side of road tripping with Phil and their dog Titan.  Eventually, Nancy wanted to travel outside of the United States and was able to do three European road trips and recently came back from London just prior to her passing.  The only thing that Nancy loved more than traveling was family and she had a blast throwing large gatherings to bring everyone together.  Nancy will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

Mrs. Crider was preceded in death by her parents John and Katherine Gilmore, her brothers Chris and Steve Gilmore.  She is survived by her husband of 40 years, Phil Crider, children, Jonathan (Luiza) Crider, Abigail (Sean) Reid, Philip (Mercedes) Crider, and Garrett (Jamie) Crider, brothers, Bob Gilmore and Jack Gilmore.  She was also “Mimi” to her 7 wonderful grandchildren Payton, Carter, Mira, Harper, Bailey, Emma and Savannah.

Funeral Services will be held 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 1, 2023 in the Chapel of Russel Haven of Rest Funeral Home.  A time of visitation will begin at 1:00 PM prior to services.

Arrangements are under the care of Russel Haven of Rest Cemetery, Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 2335 Sandridge Road, Green Cove Springs, Fl 32043.  Family and friends may share their condolences at:  www.RHRFH.com 904-284-7720

Hi Mom, to say we are shocked is an understatement. The boys and I are beyond lucky and grateful to have been able to call you mom for so many years. Thank you for everything you have done. I love you! Love, your only daughter

Mom, I am so glad i was able to make it back in time to be with you during your final days. Thank you for everything you have done for me over the past forty years including but not limited to, your mentorship, guidance, love and support and your understanding. You were an amazing mother. There is so much more I wish I could tell you but sadly that will have to wait until we see each other again. I love and miss you so much Mom!

I am shocked and saddened at Nancy’s passing. Nancy was an incredible person. She was kind, funny, loved by all, and taken way too soon. I’m so incredibly thankful I was able to reconnect with everyone these last few years. My heart breaks for the gaping hole she leaves in her family. But I know that hole will slowly be filled by the shared memories, laughter, and love of the incredible family she was so close to. Her legacy will live on. Give Chris a big hug and kiss for me Nan!
