Michael Wayne “Mike” Hoggatt, 66

Michael Wayne “Mike” Hoggatt, 66 of Gainesville, FL passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018.  Mike was the son of the late James and Louise Hoggatt and a resident of Alachua County for the past seven years having moved from Keystone Heights.  He grew up in the Green Cove Springs area, later moved to Lake City and traveled throughout Florida and Georgia with his family.  He was a long time employee with Sherwin Williams in Jacksonville.  His family describes him as a sweet, kind man who enjoyed music, playing his guitar and being “Granddady Mike” to his grandchildren, Shelby, Kaylee, Valarie, Rayden, Rachel, Josey and his great granddaughter, Sarina.

Mr. Hoggatt is survived by his wife of 17 years, Rochelle Hoggatt, children, Eric Olsen and Charlotte (Donald) Hagar, brother, Mark Hoggatt and several cousins and extended family.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, February 20, 2018 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home with Rev. Ron Baker officiating.
