Lonnie L. Thompson, Jr., 70

Lonnie L. Thompson, Jr., 70 of Middleburg, FL passed away Sunday, November 3, 2024 at his home.  Lonnie was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late Lonnie L. and Clara L. Thompson, Sr. and moved to Middleburg in 1974.  For over 50 years, Lonnie was a plumber for commercial new construction and retired after 33 years from Gary Rogers Plumbing of Jacksonville.  He enjoyed fishing and NASCAR; Lonnie will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Thompson was preceded in death by his brother, Ronald Thompson and is survived by his wife Debbie Thompson, son, Jeff (Sara) Thompson, daughter Lori (Felix) Hallman, sisters, Pam (Frank) McGurer, Tina (Jon) Cook and Sylvia (Fred) Westberry, brother-in-law, Al (Darlene) Thompson and Steve (Linda) Thompson, was “Papa” to his grandchildren, Ashlee, Jeffrey Jr., and Erin as well as 5 great grandchildren.

Services will be scheduled for a later date.
