Lauvern Johnson Baker, 78 of Middleburg, FL passed away December 11, 2015 at her residence with family gathered by her side. Mrs. Baker was a native of Trenton, Florida and moved to Jacksonville as a child. She had been a resident of Middleburg since 1989, and was a member of Russell Baptist Church. Lauvern was a “true” homemaker. She made her family feel loved and cared for and would do anything for anyone. The perfect mother and grandmother who enjoyed going to ball games and watching her family play sports. Mrs. Baker was a true lady and wife to her husband of 61 years, Robert A. Baker.
Mrs. Baker was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Baker and is survived by her husband, Robert A. Baker, two daughters, Brenda Dallas and Karen Baker, brother, JD (Margie) Johnson, six grandchildren, Todd, Nykie, Renie, Kimie, Kari and Lindsey and six great grandchildren, Brianna, Harley, TJ, Lexie, Preston and Callie.
Memorial Services will be held 6:00 PM Monday, December 14, 2015 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Rev. Ron Baker officiating. Visitation with the family will be from 5-6:00 PM prior to services.
