Larry Levon Starling, 72

Larry Levon Starling, 72 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at his residence.  Larry was the son of the late Paul and Edna Starling and lifelong resident of the Jacksonville area and had been living in Green Cove Springs for the past 31 years.  He was a member of the Class of 1964 from Ribault High School and began working with various Electric Companies since 1964.  He retired from Miller Electric in 2012 (formerly with Paxon Electric) where he worked at Baptist Medical Centers and Wolfson Children’s Hospital.  Larry was an avid bass fisherman and was the organizer for the Wolfon Children’s Hospital Bass Tournament held in Palatka for 20 years.  He also enjoyed hunting.    Mr. Starling was a member of the Lodge #32 F&AM Masonic Lodge in Callahan, FL, Morocco Shrine on St. John’s Bluff in Jacksonville, Scottish Rite and was of the Baptist Faith.

Mr. Starling was preceded in death by his brother, Robert Starling and is survived by his wife of 34 years, Linda Starling, children, Tracy Starling, Mike (Ronda) Bach, and Sheri (Chris) Davis, sister, Pauline (David) Moncrief, and five grandchildren, Kyle, Amber, Courtney, Kamryn, and Emily.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, November 19, 2018 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Rev. Chris Davis and Rev. Mary Starling officiating.  Burial will follow in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery with Mason Rites.  Visitation with the family will be from 4-6:00 PM Sunday at the funeral home.
