
Lance Galen Green, 67
Lance Galen Green, 67, of Jacksonville, FL, passed away on Monday, January 20, 2025. He was born in Jacksonville to the late Elwyn and Corine Green and graduated from Nathan B. Forrest High School in 1976, where he was a multi-sport athlete. Shortly after high school, Lance joined the United States Marine Corps and was stationed at Camp LeJeune.
Lance spent most of his life in Florida, with the exception of his military service and a brief time in Sitka, Alaska. A true craftsman, he worked alongside his father in the family masonry business before opening his own masonry subcontracting company. Over the years, he also drove long haul semi-trucks, served as a certified dive instructor, and volunteered at the VFW, helping fellow veterans navigate the benefits process.
He is survived by his siblings, Mason Green, Jeffrey Green, and Lisa Cowart, as well as his beloved nieces and nephews Amanda Arledge, Jennifer Green, Christopher Green and Rebecca Green, and Jason Green.
Funeral services with Military Honors by the USMC will be held at 11:30 AM on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, at Jacksonville National Cemetery. 4083 Lannie Rd. Jacksonville, Florida 32218.
