Kimberly Sue Yawn, 52, of Middleburg, FL. passed away with her family by her side, on May 25, 2024. She was born in St. Petersburg, Florida to parents Michael and Sharon Hoogendyk. She was a very selfless person, always putting others first. She was our “Social Butterfly”. She lit up the room and filled it with love. She loved the Lord, her family and friends. She especially loved the children and they loved her. She loved doing crafts and decorating, decorating for every holiday. She loved to bake (Scotty was never without cookies and cake!) She loved working with all the flowers in her yard. She loved just sitting on the beach. She served in the United States Army, as a watercraft operator and then spent her remaining career in the mortgage industry.

Kimberly is survived by her loving husband, Scotty Yawn; son, Cody Yawn; mother, Sharon Couvein Hoogendyk; father, Michael Hoogendyk; step-mother, Jill A. Hoogendyk; brother, Zachary M. Hoogendyk and sister, Carly Jane Hoogendyk. She was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Joseph Hoogendyk, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00AM on Friday, May 31, 2024 at the Russell Haven of Rest Chapel. A time of visitation with the family will be at 10:00 AM, prior to the services.
