Kenneth Frederick Goss, Sr., 85

Kenneth Frederick Goss, Sr., loving husband of Peggy, Father, Grandfather and Great Grandfather, left for his eternal reward August 20 2023. Ken was born November 19, 1938 in Bay City Michigan to the late Clifford and Cecelia (Wenglikowski) Goss. and was the middle child of seven, including James (deceased), Yvonne, Wilfred (deceased), Russell (deceased), Marilyn (deceased) and Ruby. Ken served in US Navy and continued his service to the public with the DC Fire Department at Engine 23.

Ken married the love of his life Margaret (Peggy) Groff on June 22 1963, and together they settled in Arlington, VA and raised 4 sons Kenneth Jr, Gary (Cheryl), Randall (Jennifer) and Jeffrey (deceased 5/7/1990). He loved his precious Peggy and their sons, and the rest of his family especially his loving and caring sisters Yvonne Johnson and Ruby Lyon, grandchildren Christina (Jeff), Megan, Jonathan, Darien, Abigail, Sarah, Ian, Adam and Nathan and great granddaughter Coralynn.

Ken liked cards and games, Polka dancing, variety shows, parties, golf and bowling.  He was available for serving at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Beverly Hills Florida, where he sang in the choir and cantored. He also served at the Knights of Columbus Council 6168, where he was a Past Grand Knight.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Grace church at a later date.

Ken was a man of strong Faith and great tenderness; he will be remembered fondly by his family and many close friends. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation to Haven Hospice of Orange Park Florida, or the charity of your choice. www.beyourhaven.org
