Kay A. MacKenzie, 75
Kay A. MacKenzie, 75, of Green Cove Springs, FL and resident of Cario, GA, passed away Tuesday, December 24, 2019. Kay was born in Tuscola, Illinois and was a resident of Tallahassee for many years. While living in Tallahassee, she was a secretary at Godby High School and was a teacher at North Florida Christian for 10 years. Anyone who knew Kay saw a dear lady who enjoyed studying her bible and teaching in Sunday School classes. She loved her family and being “Grammy” to her grandchildren, Amber, Audrey, Anna, Mackenzie, Madeline, and Grant.
Mrs. MacKenzie is survived by her husband of 55 years, Dale MacKenzie, son, Lance (Stephanie) MacKenzie; daughter, Dawn (Matt) Johnson; brothers, Jack and Stan Anderson; sisters, Anita Elmore and Carolyn Peerman; as well as many extended family.
Funeral Services will be held 11:30 AM Saturday, January 4, 2020 in Hibernia Baptist Church, 7100 US-17, Fleming Island, FL with Rev. Scott Yirka officiating. Burial will be in Jacksonville National Cemetery at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, January 7, 2020.
