In Loving Memory of Judy Ann Clough 10/30/1955 – 03/10/2022

Middleburg, FL: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Judy Ann Clough

Judy is survived by her spouse of 17 years, Michelle Johnson, Son Shawn Clough (Stacy), Daughters Tiffany Riehl, Karla Dickey, Jolene Zody, and Megan Johnson. Grandchildren Semaj Clough, Teena Clough, Jordan and Qiandra. Great-Grandchild Maverick. She is preceded in passing by her son James Clough.

Judy was born in Utica, NY and spent her childhood in Syracuse, NY. Her siblings describe her as always being the sweetest and most caring little girl. As she grew into adulthood she moved to Nashville, TN, and followed her heart to FL, eventually settling in the Jacksonville area. She had two beautiful children and they became her focus in life. Every decision she made from that point on, she did with her children’s best interest in her mind. She taught them love, kindness, and patience to withstand time.

Friends and family were her top priority in life, but when she found herself idle she enjoyed the simpler things in life.  She was always an animal lover her favorites being horses and goats. She enjoyed puzzles, the beach, visiting the springs, camping, painting rocks with her grandbabies, feeding and watching hummingbirds, and her morning facetime calls with her great-grandson Maverick.  She also had quiet a knack for home repairs, working the better portion of her life taking care of multiple properties as well as her own home.

Throughout the years she became “Mom” to many and the imprint she left on all will carry throughout a lifetime. Judy’s time on Earth will continue to remain in the hearts of anyone who was blessed enough to encounter her kindness. From the time she was a child, Judy has always put everyone else first. She so selflessly carried this beautiful trait throughout  her lifetime. She treated every person she met as if they were the most important person in her life. Judy was happiest surrounded by her family, and If she knew you, you were considered family. She was mom to many and loved by all. She was always excited to see you and with out fail she always greeted you with the biggest smile. Her affection and love for life was contagious. She was a living example of what Jesus yearned for his children to be. Although her time on Earth is finished, her legacy will continue for many generations through the people’s hearts she has touched. If you knew her you loved her, and if she knew you, she loved you. Although many hearts are saddened, her heart has finally mended, she is dancing on the golden streets with her son that she missed dearly.

Imprint on my Heart

I wrote your name in the sand at the beach, but the waves washed it away.

I wrote your name on a rock with my wet finger, but the sun took it away.

I wrote your name on the ground with leaves, and the wind blew it away.

You wrote your name on my heart with love, and nothing can ever take that away.
