Joseph “Wayne” Morris, 75

Joseph “Wayne” Morris, 75 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Wednesday, June 6, 2018.  Wayne grew up in Cottondale, FL on the family farm and moved to Lake Asbury in 1992 from Jacksonville.  He received his Masters Degree from FSU and was working on his doctorate from University of Florida.  Mr. Morris was a Political Science and International Relations professor at FCCJ for 50 years beginning his career in 1966.  He enjoyed the outdoors, animals, and gardening.  But his true passion was his grandchildren which he led by his example of hard work.

Mr. Morris is survived by his wife, Kaye Morris, children, Emmett Guy “Trey” McClellan, John Joseph Morris and Kim (Edward) Richmond, grandchildren, John, Joseph, Justin, Mayte, Leonora, and Jeremiah, seven great grandchildren, aunt, Grace, father-in-law, Stephen Ennis, niece, Christy Morris and sister-in-law, Faye Morris.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, June 16, 2018 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Rev. Ron Baker and Rev. Hobie Manning officiating.
