John William Marchbanks Sr., 78

John William Marchbanks Sr. of Middleburg Florida Passed away Saturday, June 26, 2021.  John was born in Columbus Georgia to the Late Jewell C. Marchbanks and Mavis Ruth Ward.

He married Glenda Marchbanks in 1965 having three wonderful children, John, Tina and Charlie. He moved from Columbus Ga, to Florida in the late 60’s where he owned his own business and in his spare time was deacon at Venetia Terrace Baptist church and coached his children’s Baseball and softball teams at Wesconnett Athletic Assc.  John moved to Clay county in the late 70’s and made his home in Middleburg in the early 80’s and later worked and retired from Clay County Public works.

John is preceded in Death by his parents Jewell and Mavis Marchbanks and Five Sisters Regina Bennett, Beverly Brewer, Carol Neal, Gereldine Graham, Peggy Marchbanks

He is survived by his four sisters Julia Roles (John), Barbara Whitlock, Nancy Harrison (Al), Sharon Harris (Richard) One Brother, Paul Marchbanks. Two sons  John W. Marchbanks Jr., Charles A. Marchbanks, One Daughter Christina M. Potts (Thomas L. Potts III)  as well as three Grandchildren Christopher M. Ring, Michael L. Ring and Thomas L. Potts IV.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, July 5, 2021 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with burial in Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10-11:00 prior to services.
