Janet Danese Hayes, 73

The family of Janet Hayes sadly announces the death of their loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sibling. Janet went to be with her Lord Jesus on February 14^th, 2023 in her home surrounded by her family.

Janet was born September 5th, 1949 in Gainesville, Florida to the late Katrine and Hubert Danese. Janet’s entire life centered around her love for God and her family. From the beginning, Janet was always an exuberant role model. Her natural beauty and sweet personality were evident to all who knew her. Janet continuously expressed her love for people through handwritten letters and cards.  She knew how to communicate to anyone who needed a smile, a personal touch or inspiration. Janet was voted ‘Mrs. Prudential’ in 1970 during her early career with Prudential Insurance Company. She also was a member of the Red Hat Society and enjoyed wearing a fancy hat for any occasion.

Janet is survived by her husband of 42 years, Ed Hayes; her daughter, Desiree Webb (Will); her son, Jared Hayes; her granddaughter, Arora Webb; and her grandson, Logan Webb, and also her sisters, Elizabeth Danese Henry and Cindy Danese Collins, and brother, Hubert Lawrence Danese.

Janet was preceded in death by her grandson, Austin Webb; her mother, Katrine (Brunson) Danese; and her father, Hubert Danese.

A Celebration Of Life service will be held at Westside Baptist Church, 7775 Herlong Road, Jacksonville, Florida on Saturday, February 25, 2023 at 11A.M.  There will be a 1 hour of visitation at 10 AM.
