Leonard, a beloved Son, Husband, Father and Papa passed away on July 20th, 2024.  Born on November 22, 1959, Leonard in his early years was a dairy farmer and then went on to spend his life on the open road as a truck driver.  His career spanned 38 years, during which he was known for his dedication to his career and the driver you could call anytime you needed help. Leonard was a 25-year cancer survivor.  He was a fixer of all things, and when he had a chance, he liked to fish.  He loved his mom, his wife, his children, and his grandchildren.  If you knew him, you knew he liked to pick and he found great joy in picking on his family, but it was all in love.  He loved us all dearly.
James Leonard Harrelson Jr. was preceded in death by his father, James Leonard Harrelson, Sr. AKA Buddy; and his brother, Steven Harrelson.  He is survived by his mother, Iva Harrelson; his loving wife, Linda Harrelson; his sister, Marie Eubanks; his brothers, Michael Harrelson (Debbie), Richard Harrelson (Becky); his children, Laura Gilmore (Jonathan), James David Harrelson; two grandchildren, Austin Hill and Nathan Gilmore; his 1st great grandson due in January; many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
A service to celebrate Leonard’s life will be held at 11am Saturday, July 27, 2024 in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest.  Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to services at 10am.
He will be deeply missed, forever loved and remembered by those who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations are made in Leonard’s memory to a charity of your choice.
