James “Jim” Esom Patterson, 62

James “Jim” Esom Patterson, Jr., 62, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Monday, September 20, 2021.  Jim was born in Wyandotte, Michigan to the late James Sr. and Gladys Patterson.  He spent his entire life in Michigan before moving to Florida a few months ago.  Jim was employed by the Ford Motor Company in Dearborn, Michigan for 28 years.  He called Harvest Lighthouse Assembly of God his church home for 26 years. Serving the church in many roles, including youth, associate and senior pastor, his lifelong passion was bringing people to Jesus.  His hobbies included playing his Fender guitar, hunting and fishing.  Most of all, Jim loved being a Poppy to his four grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.

Jim was preceded in death by his parents, James and Gladys; two brothers, Charles Patterson and Bobby Patterson; and one sister, Margaret Eroh.  He is survived by his loving wife of 43 years, Kay Patterson; two sons, Jimmy Patterson (Katina) and Josh Patterson (Alicia); one daughter, Jennifer Stauffer (William); two sisters, Thelma McCormick and Mary Marcum; sister-in-law, Andrea Dudley; and four grandchildren, Olivia, Aiden, Andrew, and Ava.
