Guy A. Johnson, 78

Guy Alvin Johnson, beloved daddy, grandpa/paw-paw, brother, uncle and friend went to be with his Lord and Savior, Wednesday, July 4, 2018. He was born in Jesup, Georgia on May 5, 1940 to the late Cecil John and Isabelle Johnson Woodcock.

He proudly and honorably served in the US Army and fought in the Korean War. After leaving the military, he worked in various managerial jobs.  Among his many talents, he was a manager in a large farm industry in South Florida, he was in charge of operations of a local poultry farm, and also managed a large number of rental properties.

He loved spending time with his family and especially looked forward to the large family gatherings for his birthday and Christmas. He enjoyed fishing, watching WWE, and playing Yahtzee, earning him the title Yahtzee Master.  He was also an avid gamer and his grandchildren can attest to his video game skills!

He was predeceased by grandson, Dalton Johnson; granddaughter, Carrie Johnson; brothers John, Raymond, C.J., Jerry and Lester Woodcock.

He is survived by children: Renée Darnell (Montie), Russell Johnson (Leanne), Laura Clark, Brian Johnson (Diane), Kristina Everington (Robert) and Kimberly Surla.  Brothers: Steve Woodcock (Louise) and Herman Woodcock.  Grandchildren: Melissa (Gabe), Montie, Jr. (Jennifer), Amber, Teresa (Daniel), Dustin (Jennifer), Vanessa, Jessica, Tyler, Ashley, Kiera and Makayla.  Great-grandchildren: Gabrielle, Payne, Tyler, Jacob, Alyssa, Aubrey, Chloe, McKenzie, Jayce, Jade, Jonah and Amara, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, July 7, 2018 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with burial to follow in Penney Farms Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 10-11:00 AM Saturday prior to services.
