Gloria Diane Massingill, 71, of Middleburg, FL passed away Saturday, June 8, 2024.  Diane was born in Dickson, TN to the late Robert Weiland and Gloria Vaughn and moved to the northeast Florida area as a child.  She worked for Southeast Toyota for over thirty years and retired as a quality control supervisor.  Traveling, especially to the islands, was a favorite of Diane’s things to do.  She enjoyed planning every detail of the itinerary.  Diane also liked cooking and working in her flower beds.

Diane was a sweet, giving, and kindhearted person.  She never met a stranger and would talk to anyone.  She was always ready to help someone and would do anything for her family.  She enjoyed listening to music, most notably her husband, Buddy, or Elvis.  Most of all, Diane loved being “Nanna” to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  One of her favorite ways to spend a day was with her daughter and grandchildren.  That time together brought her so much joy and happiness.

Diane was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband of 39 years, Augustus “Buddy” Massingill; and her brother, Ray Weiland.  She is survived by her daughter, Kim Walker (Randy); grandchildren, Miranda Walker and John Walker (Dallas); two great-grandchildren, Rayland Walker and Harlan Walker; brother, Robert Weiland (Sandy); sister, Susan Dampier; best friend who was like a sister, Debi Wheeler; and her beloved dog, Sassy.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, June 13, 2024 in the chapel at Russell Haven of Rest with Johnathan Rodriguez officiating.  Visitation with the family will be held one hour prior to services at 10:00am.  Burial will follow at Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
