Estelle Leibold, 75, of Green Cove Springs, FL, passed away on June 5, 2024. Born in Pensacola, Florida to parents Oscar Bullard and Alline McGill Bullard, Estelle attended Pensacola Technical High School and remained in the area until she married Air Force Airman Dennis Leibold in 1966. As a devoted military wife, Estelle was able to live across the US and abroad in Germany and become a “mom away from home” for many of the young airman who worked with Dennis. Throughout her life, Estelle was a faithful and dedicated member of the church where she served as a Liturgical leader and Eucharistic Minister.
Upon her husband’s retirement from the Air Force, the family moved back to the Pensacola area where Estelle began a career as an office assistant for various Government Contractors. When she and Dennis decided to permanently retire, they moved to Green Cove Springs, FL, and spent much of their time traveling across America seeing new sites and visiting family. Estelle was deeply devoted to being in the lives of her grandchildren and passing on the family traditions she started with her own children like decorating Christmas cookies and coloring Easter eggs. Estelle also enjoyed scrapbooking, knitting, crocheting, and cooking everyone’s favorite dishes when they visited. She loved being with her family and following the lives of her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by many, especially by those whom she loved most.
Estelle was preceded in death by her parents Oscar Bullard and Alline McGill Bullard; brother, Donald Bullard; sisters, Virginia Hobbs and Doris Boswell.
She is survived by her loving husband, Dennis M. Leibold; son, Dennis Leibold Jr. (Jennifer); daughter, Lynn Semaan (Bob); brother, Henry Bullard (Anita); sister, Estherline Rhea; grandchildren, Ryan Leibold, Reid Leibold, Tiffany Trinidad (Justin), Alex Semaan, Andrew Semaan, and Aaron Semaan.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on June 14, 2024, in the Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home Chapel. A time of viewing and visitation with the family will begin at 1:00 p.m. prior to the services.
