Ernie William Bush, 74

Ernie William Bush was born June 14, 1949 at Naval Hospital NAS Jacksonville to Christine Knight and Loyd W. Bush.  Ernie passed away May 7, 2024 on Fleming Island, Florida.  Ernie lived in several cities and states growing up the son of a Navy Chief before returning to Green Cove Springs.  Ernie graduated from Clay High School and made many friends during those years; several friendships that he cherished throughout his life.

Ernie was a huge NASCAR and Florida Gator fan.  He loved going to NASCAR events especially with son, Marc and other relatives.  Ernie was a member of Russell Baptist Church Florida.  Ernie bravely fought lung cancer for a couple of years before loosing the fight.

Ernie is survived by son, Marc Bush of Orlando, sister, Cherry Brewer of Bostwick, brothers, George of Orange Park, Rodger of Palatka, and Tommy of Jacksonville and a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, April 7, 2025 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home with Pastor Ron Baker officiating.  Interment will follow in the Heritage section of Russell Haven of Rest Cemetery.
