Elizabeth Jean Ward Keefe, 67

Elizabeth Jean Ward Keefe, who loved to be called “Grammy”, departed her loving family on 15 June 2022 at the age of 67 in Coupeville Washington.  Liz was born in Athens, GA on January 27, 1955, to the late Drenon D. Ward and Rose Smith Ward.  She married the late Thomas Keefe in 1977, and they lived together in Colorado Springs CO for 25 years before relocating to Palm City FL.  While in Florida Tom passed away in 2003.  She then moved to Jacksonville FL where she met Gary Jones who has been her partner until the time of her death.

Liz had only one son, Robert Keefe, who is married to Ame Keefe, of Jacksonville, FL.  Liz, who was also known as Grammy, had 3 Grandchildren, Nikki (Laura) Rogers, Amanda (Corey) Tennant, Alyssa (Zachary) Corrado, and 7 Great Grandchildren, Maggie, Brooklynn, Mikael, Adalei, Amelia, and Ella.  Liz and Gary moved to Coupeville Washington in 2019 and leave behind her Whidbey Island Family.  She is also survived by her brothers, Frank Ward and Lee Ward and was preceded in death by her sister, Shirley and brother, Jimmy.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at 4:00 pm at First Baptist Church of Middleburg in the Prevatt Chapel (Old Historic Chapel), 2645 Blanding Blvd, Middleburg FL.  A reception will follow at the Middleburg Civic Association Hall, 2102 Palmetto St, Middleburg FL.
