Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Plummer, 56

Elizabeth Ann “Libby” Plummer, 56, of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Tuesday, December 6, 2016.  She was born in Jesup, GA to Mr. and Mrs. James Thornton.  Libby moved to Green Cove Springs in 1973, coming from Jacksonville.  She graduated from Clay High School in 1978.  Professionally, she was a nurse’s assistant, working in nursing homes and hospitals. 

Libby loved to read novels and crochet in her free time.  She also loved the Georgia Bulldogs.  One of her favorite things to do was tease and pick on people.  She and her family shared a love for the beach and swimming at the beach.  Libby was known for her love of having a good time and enjoying a fun party.  Her family meant the world to her, watching her grandbabies grow up and even caring for extended family.  She was always taking care of others.  She especially enjoyed cooking and could fry anything. 

Libby is survived by her parents, James and Barbara Thornton; daughter, Jade Plummer (Jason); son, Robert Imler (Marissa Kempf); brother, Paul Thornton (Diane); sister, Kelly Meinke (Shawn); four grandchildren, Aaliyah, Makylah, and Lilah Plummer, Lacey Imler; nephews, Paul Thornton, Jr. (Julie) and Tyler Meinke; niece, Daisy Meinke; and a host of family and friends. 

A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 17, 2016 at 12pm at the Green Cove Springs Church of Christ, 3650 Russell Road, Green Cove Springs, FL 32043.  Everyone is invited to a meal following the memorial service.  Please feel free to bring a side dish or dessert.  The family greatly appreciates your help.
