Earl Edward Houlihan, 88
Earl Edward Houlihan, 88 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away Sunday, November 15, 2020. Earl was born, July 3, 1932 in Peoria, IL to the late Richard George and Virginia E. Houlihan. He married the late, Daisy Louise Carson more than fifty years ago and served as an Army Paratrooper, stationed at Fort Campbell, KY. Following his military service, Earl served as a Firefighter in Peoria, IL and San Jose, CA, and medically retired while stationed in San Jose. He lived in several states, including Illinois, Colorado, California, Texas, West Virginia, and Florida.
Over the years, Earl traveled extensively with his wife, owned a restaurant in Colorado, had a serious passion for golf (having had three holes in one over the years), and had desired to play when we moved to FL, but his health precluded it. Earl was immensely proud of the fact that during his eighty-eight year on this planet and through many occupations, he never had a broken bone. Earl and Daisy moved frequently, and lived in at least seventy-eight homes.
While Daisy and Earl were married, they raised Earl’s two younger brothers, Patrick Michael Houlihan and Timothy Allen Houlihan and daughter, Christine. He is also survived by sister, Sue (Les) Gallipo, brother, Bill (Linda) Houlihan and many extended family members.
Services will be held in Peoria, IL at a later date.
