Dottie Sue “Sudie” Elder, 75

Dottie Sue “Sudie” Elder, 75 of Green Cove Springs, FL passed away September 1, 2016. Mrs. Elder was born in Huntington, WV and moved to Clay County over 50 years ago.  She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, was employed by the Clay County School Board as a school bus monitor for 11 years and worked for Carl’s Meat Market for over 40 years.  To her family, she was known as “Nana” and “Granny”; a lady who loved to shop and find a good yard sale.  Dottie will be dearly missed by her family and her dog Chloe.

Mrs. Elder was preceded in death by her husbands, Carl F. Moody and Billie J. Elder and great granddaughter, Haleigh Brooke Saunders and is survived by her daughter, Carla Kersey, three brothers, Mitchell, Billy and Grayson Perry, four sisters, Bernice Johnson, Pearl McLendon, Linda Sturdevant and Sandra Padgett, two grandchildren, Danielle and Rochelle, four great grandchildren Jesse, Wyatt, Dalton and Waylon, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Tuesday, September 6, 2016 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Pastor Mitch Perry officiating. Burial will follow in Jacksonville Memory Gardens.  Visitation with the family will be from 5-7:00 Pm Monday evening at the funeral home.
