Don “DJ” Kenneth Comer, Jr. 33, of Middleburg, FL passed away Thursday, May 16, 2024.  DJ was born in Orange Park, FL and had been a lifelong resident of Middleburg, FL. He was a proud NJROTC cadet at Middleburg High School and upon graduation had been working to obtain his pilots license, which was still one of his dreams.  For the past three years, DJ worked as a truckdriver for Werner Trucking of Lake City and was currently working for Contrans Trucking of Jacksonville.   He enjoyed many adventures with his family, including camping, “snow hunts”, riding both motorcycles and jet skis.  DJ was an avid gamer and also enjoyed target shooting.  DJ loved animals, especially the family pups, Boomer, Chloe & Bella.  He was a beekeeper, Gator fan and attended the Jacksonville “Suns” baseball games.  He loved his family and friends with a love like no other.  DJ was loved by many and will be dearly missed his family and friends.

DJ was preceded in death by his brother, Travis Comer and is survived by his parents, Marti (Wayne) Wright and Don (Diane) Comer, stepbrothers, Logan (Katie) Wright, Tyler Wright, Michael Yarber and Lee Yarber.

Memorial Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, May 24, 2024 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with Pastor Patrick Martin officiating.  Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM until services begin.
