Devron Richard Evans, 56
Devron Richard Evans, 56, originally from Middleburg, Florida passed away Monday July 22, 2024.
He spent his childhood and adult life in the Middleburg-Orange Park area. Devron graduated from Middleburg High School (C/O 85). He was a member of the 1st ever playoff football team in the fall of 1984 where he played Linebacker.
After graduation, he joined the United States Army and became a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne. After serving in the Army, Devron returned to Middleburg and married Donna Hall Evans in 1990.
Devron then began his more than 30 year career as an electrician where he excelled in the field and took a lot of pride in his work. His first job was with Miller Electric where he gained the experience to open his own company, Evans Boland Electrical. He later worked for JEA.
Devron was preceded in death by his father, Charles Evans.
He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years, Donna Hall Evans; son and daughter-in-law, Ryan and Blair Evans; daughter and son-in-law, Cassie and Tyler Davis; mother, Audrea Evans; sister and brother-in-law, Laurie and Mike Callan of Greensboro, North Carolina; and many nieces and nephews to who he was known as “Uncle Dev”. Most importantly, he was “PawPaw” to his four beautiful grandchildren Beau, Easton, Charlotte and Colton.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11am at CrossPointe Church, 1871 County Rd 220, Fleming Island, FL 32003, with Ron Baker officiating.
