Dennis S. Gurney, 50 of Orange Park, FL passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2024.  Dennis was born in Jacksonville, FL to the late David and Janice King Gurney and moved with his family to Orange Park in 1987 then to Green Cove Springs in 1994.  He graduated from Orange Park High School, briefly lived in Pensacola, but always called Clay County his home.  Over the years, Dennis enjoyed working retail and was currently employed with Auto Zone as manager at the Branan Field store.

Dennis heart led him to volunteer work and an association with Sons of the American Legion Post 137 and Sons of the VFW Post 8255.  He liked fishing and was an avid pool player and a member of the APA.  Dennis will be missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Gurney is survived by his siblings, Daniel Gurney, David (Mary Jo) Gurney, Deanna (Darren) Printy, Mike (Cathi) Brinley, Mark (Gabi) Brinley, and Melissa Brinley, stepfather, Laird Brinley, and several nieces, nephews and extended family members.

A time of Visitation will be held 5-6:00 PM on Monday, August 26, 2024 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home.
