David “Bubba” LaGrua, 81
David “Bubba” LaGrua, 81, of Keystone Heights, FL passed away Thursday December 8, 2016. Mr. LaGrua was born in New York City and moved to Keystone Heights five years ago from Chassahowitzka, FL near Brooksville. He served during the Korean War with the US Navy and retired from the Florida Marine Patrol after 30 years. Following his retirement, he worked with the Florida State Department of Natural Resources and served as Chief for the Chassahowitzka Volunteer Fire Department. He was an avid bass fisher and an active member of the Keystone Heights American Legion Post 202 where he was the Sergeant of Arms.
Mr. LaGrua is survived by his wife of 50 years, Delores LaGrua, children, Dr. Lori (Tim) Ley, Teresa (David) Sanday, Denise LaGrua, David E. LaGrua, John (Doris) Pickford and Bonnie (Bob) Wright, one brother, Jerry Lesch, 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held 2:00 PM Friday, December 16, 2016 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest with military honors by the US Navy. Pastor Earl Horne will be officiating.
