Clarice “Kay” Lancaster, 94
Clarice (Kay) Lancaster, 94 passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 in Orange Park, FL after a long, well lived life. She was born to Albert Kaelin and Bertha Earnie, the second of eleven children on August 27, 1921, in St. Louis, Missouri. She is survived by her brother, Albert Kaelin and her sisters, Rita Schmidt, Joan Suter, and Paulette Wager; her four children, Ellen (Gil) Godfrey, Janice (Henry) Thomas, Karol (Dave) Norris, Tom (Kelley) Lancaster, 9 grandchildren and 9 great grands.
Kay was preceded in death by her loving husband of forty years, Thomas Lancaster and brothers, Fred, Eugene, Norman and Vincent Kaelin and her sisters, Doris Clark and Marilyn Goodall.
Kay was a dedicated patriot and served in the WAVES during WWII and was National President of the Ladies Auxiliary Fleet Reserve Association. She followed her husband Tom to many duty stations during his 29 year career in the USN.
Funeral Services will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, December 17, 2015 at St. Catherine of Sienna Catholic Church, 1649 Kingsley Ave, Orange Park, FL. Viewing will be on Wednesday, December 16th at Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home beginning at 5:30 PM with Rosary and a ceremony of the LAFRA beginning at 6:00 PM.
