Carol Ann Forsythe, 69

Carol Ann Forsythe, 69 of Fleming Island, Florida passed away Wednesday June 1st 2022. Carol was born in El Paso Texas to the late Donald and Donna Verga Wentzel. She was raised in Battle Creek, Michigan and lived there until 2015. She moved to Tampa Florida then later on to Fleming Island Florida to be near her daughter. While  in Michigan, she raised two wonderful children and gained three grandsons and a son in law. Carol worked 20 years at the Kellogg corporation and retired. She also  completed her Associates degree in education and enjoyed tutoring. She had the honor of hosting and tutoring a family of three teens from Brazil. She served at the First Wesleyan Church enjoyed bible studies and quality friendships. While in Tampa she served at the Life Chapel Church and connected with fellow sisters in Christ. Carol was an encouraging mentor to a teen girl through steadfastmentoring.org. While in Fleming Island, she was able to be closer to her daughter, whom cared for her during her battle with cancer. She connected with First Baptist of Middleburg and attended bible study with a very supportive group of ladies. The things Carol enjoyed most was reading her bible and being a connector of friends. She loved it when friends in different places were united. She loved taking long bike rides and putting together complicated jigsaw puzzles. She enjoyed organizing and interior decorating but her heart was with her grandsons. It brought her so much joy to be a part of their childhood and teen years.

Carol Forsythe was preceded in death by her brother, Michael Wentzel and is survived by her daughter Christina (Gary) Patterson, son Jeremy Forsythe, brothers, Douglas Wentzel, Donald Wentzel and Robert Wentzel, sister, Susan Case, grandchildren, Brayden, Nolan, and Ian, several nieces, nephews and extended family.

A memorial celebration of her life will be July 23rd 11:00 am
