Bill “Ray” Marsh, 55

Billy “Ray” Marsh, 55 of Middleburg, FL, passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2019.  Mr. Marsh was born in Swainsboro, Georgia and moved to Clay County 40 years ago from Tennessee.  Ray was one of thirteen children born to the late Edward and Lula Bell Scarboro.  He was a self taught man who could fix anything.  For the past 20 years, he was the owner of Top Notch Tree Care where he was honest to his customers and provided an honest service.  When he was not working, Ray enjoyed fishing and making his regular trips to South Carolina and Kentucky each fall to hunt.  He was a friend to all and will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Mr. Marsh was preceded in death by his brother, Edward “Pig” Marsh and two sisters, Carol Calhoun and Cheryl Brown.  He is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lori Marsh, son, Billy Ray Marsh, Jr., daughter, Rachael (Adam) Thompson, six brothers, David Marsh, Buddy Marsh, Thomas “Runt” Marsh, Edmond “Rooster” Marsh, Kelvin Marsh and Dennis “Dino” Marsh, three sisters, Celest Marsh, Joan Akridge and Crystal Marsh, and three grandchildren, Brayden, Dustin, and Abigail.

Funeral Services will be held 11:00 Saturday, August 24, 2019 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest.  Visitation with the family will be from 10-11:00 AM prior to services on Saturday.
