Beverly Aileen Daniels Jennings, 93

Beverly Aileen Daniels Jennings, 93, of Green Cove Springs, Florida, passed away Friday, November 11, 2023 in Penney Farms, Florida.  She was born in San Mateo, California to the late Ernest and Jemma Daniels.  A California bay area native, Beverly was raised in San Mateo and worked in San Francisco.  She was an executive secretary with GE for many years before marrying Edwin Dale Jennings in 1963 and having a daughter.

Beverly was an equestrian enthusiast all her life and was an accomplished Western rider and English hunter, jumper rider.  She owned her first horse “Junior” when she was six years old and ran for Rodeo Cow Palace Queen in 1950.

Beverly never met an animal she didn’t like and it was common for her to pick up a stray cat, dog, rabbit, bird, chicken, squirrel, duck, or possum and nurse it back to health.   She spent most of her free time in the garden tending to her vegetables.

In 2001, Beverly followed her daughter to Northeast Florida and made Clay County her home.  She became an active volunteer at the Thrasher Horne, Orange Park Medical Center, St. Vincent’s Hospital and Hope Therapy.

Beverly is survived by her sister, Barbara (Daniels) DaDalt; daughter, Leslie (Jennings) Dougher; granddaughter, Lyndsay Dougher; step granddaughter, Alexa Mahla; and step-grandson, Paul Mahla.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Saturday, November 18, 2023 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest.  Visitation with the family will begin at 10:30 until services begin.
