Betty Jean Jones, 76

Betty Jean Jones, 76, of Fleming Island, FL passed away Thursday, September 8, 2016 at her residence. Betty was born in Mertens, TX and moved from Jacksonville, FL to Clay County in 2001.  In the 1970’s, she worked with Florida National Bank but has spend most of her years as a homemaker.  She loved playing Bingo and spending time in the North Carolina mountains.

Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her son, Sam “Bo” Parker and is survived by her husband of 34 years, Marion L. Jones, three daughters, Kristi Holt, Ginny (Lynn) Powers, and Marisa Bennett, sister, Barbara Pugh, six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

Private services will be held in North Carolina at a later date.
