Arthur Guy Wolf “Art”, 89 went to be with our Lord on Friday, February 11, 2022.  He was born on November 8, 1933 in Queens, New York to the late Mary and August Wolf.  He graduated from Jamaica High School and went to work at Chase Manhattan Bank.  Eventually his wanderlust took over, and he joined the US Navy, traveling the world on various ships during his 20 year career, the USS Saratoga being his last duty before retirement.

Art worked for several fire equipment companies, settling in with SAFE (South Atlantic Fire Equipment Company) sales, and even teaching fire hazard safety and the many chemicals/equipment involved in protecting our firemen in potentially deadly conditions.

Art and his wife, Faith, lived in Green Cove Springs, FL for the past 37 years.  His life was filled with adventure and five trips to Alaska, where he and his buddies dredged for gold; at time very successfully.  Art was well known for his baking skills, and was loving called the “Cookie Man” by all.  His focus in Russell Baptist Church was missions and to that end he gave with generous spirit even as illness and age caught up with him.  He will be missed.

Mr. Wolf was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Richard Wolf, also, mother of his children, Betty Wolf.  He is survived by his sons, David Wolf, Christopher Wolf, and Charles Wolf, grandchildren, Emily Wolf, Tyler Wolf, Josilyn Wolf, and Dayne Wolf, and sister, Elna Wolf.  He is also survived by his wife of 37 years, Faith Wolf, her family, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren from the Jacksonville area.

Memorial Services will be held 11:00 AM Monday, February 21, 2022 in the Chapel of Russell Haven of Rest Funeral Home.
