Barbara Ann Grimes, 84

Barbara Ann Grimes, 84 passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2015. Mrs. Grimes was a native of Chicago, Illinois and returned to Green Cove Springs due to illness from San Antonio, FL where she lived for the past 15 years. While living in San Antonio, Barbara volunteered for the Pasco County Sheriff Office for 6 years.  Going a few years back, Barbara worked as a school bus driver for Clay County School Board, lifeguard at the Reynolds Park pool, NAS as a chaplain’s secretary, NAS supply department and Mayport as a chaplain’s secretary. But her real passion was traveling and teaching the art of knitting and other crafts. Over the years, she was a resident of Traveler’s Rest in Dade City, and a member of Airstreamer’s Club “BG3144” for many years. Barbara made friends everywhere she traveled and will be missed by many.

Mrs. Grimes is survived by her husband, Jim W.C. Grimes, children, Cecilee Ann Russell, Owen (Susan) Russell, David (Tonya) Russell, Sean (Ann) Grimes and Deanna (Randy) Gettler, four grandchildren, Matthew, Daniel, Alison and Scott, four great grandchildren, Grayson, Skyler, Zane and Harper, and a dear family friend, Susanne Tillman. Barbara was preceded in death by her granddaughter Jessica.

Memorial Services will be held at a later date in Florida National Cemetery.
